Don't let finances stop your UK study dream. Spendix offers flexible student loans for international students — covering tuition fees and living costs, applied for entirely from your home country.
You do not need to be in the UK to apply. We work with students in Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and neighbouring countries.
All loans are available to international students currently living outside the UK who have received a university offer.

Combined Study Loan

Our student loans are designed specifically for international students from Africa and South Asia who are planning to study in the UK. You must meet the following criteria:
Note: You do not need to already be in the UK. Applications are processed entirely online from your home country. A UK address is not required to apply.
Submit Application
Complete our online form with your personal details, university offer letter, and loan amount required. Takes under 10 minutes.
Identity Verification
Upload your passport and proof of admission. Our KYC team verifies your identity — usually within 24 hours.
Loan Assessment
Our credit team reviews your application and assesses the loan amount. We consider your course, university, and repayment capacity.
Offer & Agreement
You receive a formal loan offer with interest rate, repayment schedule, and terms. Review and sign digitally.
Disbursement
Tuition fees are paid directly to your university. Living cost loans are sent to your Spendix wallet or nominated account.
Do I need a UK credit history to apply?
No. We assess your application based on your university offer, course, and personal circumstances — not UK credit history.
When do I start repaying?
Repayments typically begin 6 months after your course start date, giving you time to settle in and find part-time work if needed.
What interest rate will I pay?
Rates are personalised based on your loan type and amount. We will show you the exact rate before you sign — no hidden charges.
Can I apply before I have a university offer?
You can register your interest early, but a formal loan offer requires a confirmed university offer letter or CAS number.
What if my visa is refused?
If your UK student visa is refused, your loan agreement is cancelled and any disbursed tuition fees are recovered directly from the university.
